Google Glass gets the look teams up with slick designers

Google Glass, the search giant’s ambitious augmented reality headset, looks plenty powerful, but the prototypes we’ve seen so far have been a bit unsightly – more square-eyes Robocop than slick shades. That looks set to change though, as it’s teaming up with designers to bring fashion to the future tech.
The New York Times reports that Google is in talks with start-up Warby Parker, which sells fashionable shades, to help it craft a pair of Google Glass smart specs that people will actually want to wear, as well as use – no mean feat given you need to find space for an internet connected computer in there.
The news follows word that Google is expanding its pre-order scheme for the smart glasses, askinf developers to pitch them on why they should get an early pair to play with.
